The Casa Marina Hotel in Jacksonville Beach, Florida is where timeless charm meets modern-day beauty. This destination brings out emotions of serenity and luxury making The Casa Marina Hotel the perfect couples getaway. It would be difficult to imagine wanting to stay anywhere else in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
From the moment you step through the large ornate glass and wooden doors, you are invited to experience true Jacksonville Beach culture. It becomes immediately obvious that you have entered a hotel from a different era. Meticulous accents, hardwood floors, historic pictures aligning the walls of a time gone by and splendid amenities that bring you to present day luxuries. The Casa Marina Hotel brings up the emotion that you have arrived at a very special place. The Casa Marine Hotel is not your average boutique hotel. It is the character of this place that makes it shine above all the rest. Twenty three rooms are available for guests who appreciate an intimate unforgettable Jacksonville Beach experience.
Steve and I were fortunate enough to have been assigned room 201, which is an alluring parlor suite. Two distinct rooms allow you to have a comfortable temporary living space with an abundance of room. A cozy queen size master bed with crisp white linens and a large armoire that stays true to the historic elegance will become your sanctuary . Antique style ceiling fans and hardwood floors add to the charm of this space. The most spectacular feature of this suite is by far the view from the bedroom window. Being on the second floor gives you a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean and the picturesque beach below. Inspiring, romantic and enchanting are words that come to mind when describing the view from The Casa Marina Hotel. One truly unique feature of this hotel is the view from the outside stairwell on the second floor. Steve and I stood in awe looking up at the Spanish style architecture, featuring a white archway overlooking the ocean beneath us. I told Steve that I had an overwhelming feeling that I had been in this place before, even though this was our first trip to The Casa Marina Hotel. The way the sunlight pierced through the arches opening allowed for a beautiful view of the ocean and white sand beaches below. This site is one that should not be missed and is a sensational place for photography.
Night-time brings out another side to this getaway experience. This is when you will find the fun and excitement of the Penthouse Rooftop Bar. Situated atop the hotel, you will find a place where live music can be enjoyed on certain evenings. The bar offers a generous drink menu and heavy appetizers that I would consider a meal. If you love a good martini, this is the place to be on Jacksonville Beach. It’s worth the wait to sit outside on the veranda where stunning views of the beach and ocean below can be seen for miles. Little separates you from the incredible views below. I spend ample time in Jacksonville Beach and it is my opinion that The Penthouse Bar has the most inspiring view. This space is open to the public so I highly recommend coming here even if you are not staying at the hotel. The cost was reasonable since they have fantastic daily specials. On both nights of our stay, I took great pleasure in $6 martinis and they were by far the best I have found on the beach.
Today I sit on the final day of our vacation in the unforgettable courtyard of The Casa Marina Hotel. The courtyard is an expansive area located in the center of this Spanish style hotel. Palm trees line the area and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach that are only steps away through the wrought iron gates. White lighting captures the timelessness of this area to gather or just relax. I knew that this would be the place where I would write this article continuing to be motivated to put my experiences into words. I just fell in love with this property and that translated into all the romantic experiences I found at The Casa Marina Hotel.
The Casa Marina Hotel was built-in 1925 and still keeps the charm from the original time period, but has been well maintained throughout the years. In the little things; walking into our room kicking off my shoes from a splendid day on the beach is a memory that will stay with me. Turning on the red-light in the bathroom, reviving in a warm bath, sitting in the parlor quietly taking in the grandeur of the day, waking up early to watch the sunrise with my love are the things that create more than just an average hotel stay. Stepping back into the timeless charm and elegance of this hidden gem is all Jacksonville beach was and continues to be today.

Finding Kathy Brown was born from me adjusting to being a middle-aged woman once the children had all grown. (Beauty of Aging) My desire to have an outlet all my own. Something that would help me reveal a little more of who I am as a person. I find something about myself in every post I write and this one was no exception. So what has Kathy Brown found out about herself? I found that something shiny & brand new does not always make it better. There is character and strength in places that have stood the test of time. Much like our own lives we get better, stronger, more intriguing with each period in our lives. The same can be said about The Casa Marina Hotel built in the 1920’s where timeless charm meets modern-day beauty.
