Steve and I have visited the Jacksonville Beach and Atlantic Beach area of Florida on multiple occasions since we consider the area our second home. Just when I thought I had found all the amazing eating establishments this beach town has to offer, I discover something new. Finding The North Beach Bistro located in Atlantic Beach, Florida was just one of those occasions. This divine establishment could be easily passed by if you’re not a local, since it sits back off the main road. Situated off Atlantic Boulevard, The North Beach Bistro has all the charm and comfort to make you feel right at home. It’s easy to see why this locally owned dining establishment has been open in Atlantic Beach since 2008. The North Beach Bistro has a strong focus on food and atmosphere keeping up with the big city bistros in a beach community.
The outside patio is made to feel relaxed even with its strip mall location. There are umbrellas to help shade the hot Florida sun and comfortable seating. The indoor dining area gave me a Cheers kind of feeling. A long bar fully stocked made for indulging in some refreshing spirits and socializing with friends. Table seating is also available and a separate room off the main entrance for special events.
Now for the best part and the main reason to visit.. The Food. An eclectic menu serving a variety of classic dishes and chef inspired creations. Chef Dave Seavey found a way to even make an ordinary dishes magical. My recommendation would be for Classic Macaroni and Cheese $9. You can add additional toppings (Chicken 6 / Shrimp 9 / Salmon or Mahi 10 / Scallops 14). Steve enjoyed the Grilled Mahi, that can also be prepared blackened or fried $11. We visited during lunch, but as you can see the prices are reasonable especially considering the amount and quality of the food. I’m looking forward to visiting next time for dinner. My eyes are already set on the Filet Mignon Oscar $28. I have included a link to The North Beach Bistro’s website so you can view the entire menu. I know you’re going to be impressed…
