Picture a place where the sunrise is as close as your own private balcony. Where every amenity is designed to provide a breathtaking view of the sea. Where both families and couples make memories that will last a lifetime. Are you curious? Well let me welcome you to the Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island, Georgia.
Accommodations – Steve and I effortlessly checked into our suite and were immediately impressed with the large room accommodations. Two queen beds as we entered and a distinctly large living area made for the perfect place for us to unwind. The décor gave this space a true beach feel with a blue and green color pallet. The décor was tasteful and contemporary with a vintage flare. One of many highlights became the outdoor patio that faced the ocean. I could have stayed in this patio paradise for hours feeling the ocean breeze. I highly recommend this lovely space as a perfect place to catch an amazing sunrise.
Amenities – The amenities I found at the Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island, Georgia felt like they were created to compliment the natural beauty of the area. Winding trails spanning the grounds were perfect for exploring the Atlantic Ocean coastline. Tree lined pathways provide extra beauty as you look up at the sky. The stunning pool area with lounge chairs that allow days of soaking up the sun. You don’t have to venture very far for a cool fruity drink since the Tiki Bar is a spectacular place to socialize. My personal recommendation would be to spend some time relaxing in the oversize outdoor daybeds just perfect for two.
Beach House Restaurant – The Beach House is located directly next to The Holiday Inn Resort on the same grounds. This dining area is not just for guest of the resort, but open to the public. The food here is fantastic and keeps the same beach feel. Steve and I loved our time spent at the bar area where the drinks were plentiful. A special thank you to Stacey that works at the Beach House bar for impeccable service with a smile. We took her recommendation ordering fried mozzarella as an appetizer. Dinner at the Beach House was a true treat with a fresh taste and plentiful portions.
So What Did Kathy Brown Find On This Bloggers Excursion? – I found that rainy days don’t need to damper any vacation. As you can probably tell by my photos of the Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island, GA the weather was not too kind to me and Steve during our trip. The wonderful thing about the resort is how much it just didn’t matter. We made memories that will last a lifetime regardless of the rain. It actually made us feel a little more carefree. After all who cares if you get a little wet at the beach anyway. It made for some spectacular sunrises and priceless memories.
