The Chattanoogan Hotel is calling you with luxurious accommodations, fine dining and the setting for a true romantic destination.
If the only thing you’re familiar with when I mention Chattanooga, Tennessee is the old tune the Chattanooga Choo Choo, then you are really missing out on a fantastic couples destination. It is nicknamed the Scenic City for it’s breathtaking natural beauty mixed with all the fun and excitement of a trending location.
Chattanooga is my hometown and as a resident of this amazing city, I can tell you with certainty that the best place to stay on your visit is The Chattanoogan Hotel. From the moment you enter the elegant open lobby, you will know you are somewhere special. The lobby is a mix of country charm with rows of rocking chairs and upscale elegance. There is an open fireplace that splits the expansive room. This area provides the perfect place to sit with a glass of wine and a good book. Music plays throughout the common area of The Chattanoogan Hotel, that lends itself to a calming atmosphere. I highly recommend taking a view of the lobby from the second floor. Just as you exit the elevator there is the delightful sight of the hotel from above where the architecture of this space can truly be appreciated.
Steve and I stayed in the newly renovated king deluxe room. There are also suites available. However, we found the king deluxe room to be perfect for us and found it to be plenty large enough. I’ll be the first to admit I am a hotel snob, meaning that I have high standards concerning where I will lay my head to sleep. If you are like me, then no need to worry about your stay here.
The room was clean with comfortable white bedding, soft pillows and the most plush mattress I have ever slept on. It’s not often that I can say I got a better nights sleep at a hotel then I would at home, but here I go… I got a better nights sleep at The Chattanoogan. Included with your stay is free high-speed wireless internet so you can stay connected. Room service is available so you can disconnect from the outside world if you choose. I found decadence in the details at this luxury hotel. When you visit, notice the Gilchrist & Soames soaps, shampoos and conditioners left in the room. These products show the attention to detail this hotel has managed to accomplish.
The Chattanoogan Hotel separates itself from the competition by having a full service spa located on the premises. No romantic weekend is complete without experiencing a couples massage at the spa. We were treated to The Chattanooga Signature Massage, a fifty minute full body low pressure experience. During the couples massage you and your loved one will enjoy a private massage room. The spa staff, Heather & Hayden, created a relaxing and tranquil environment, where we could just unwind and for that time be in the moment. After your treatment, you will have plenty of time to spend in the relaxation room. Be sure to sip a mimosa and just treasure the romantic atmosphere.
There’s no rush to leave so be sure to take advantage of all The Chattanoogan Spa has to offer. There you will find a clean shower and locker facilities, a sauna and steam room. All guests of the hotel can enjoy the large heated indoor pool and hot tub. Need some fresh air, step outside on the patio for calming sun rays and comfortable lounge chairs. Steve and I left the Spa feeling rejuvenated and totally at peace. This picture says it all… I Love this man of mine..
Come to The Chattanoogan ready to eat and enjoy a culinary dream by eating at The Broad Street Grille. During our stay we enjoyed two meals, including Sunday Brunch. The Sunday Champagne Bunch is highly favored among locals in the area. Sunday brunch consists of delicious traditional breakfast items, salad/fruit bar, and lets not forget the prime rib. I highly recommend the omelet bar for its variety of combination options and fresh ingredients. During the brunch there is an unlimited supply of mimosas to enjoy. The Sunday Brunch is open from 11am to 2pm. Reservations would be highly suggested and consider making your reservations close to the opening hour of 11am.
Are you ready to indulge in a culinary delight and romantic setting? Then evenings at The Broad Street Grille should be on your must do list. The dinner hours transform the restaurant into an ideal place for an intimate dining experience. We had the pleasure of being served by Greg, who was attentive without being overbearing. He was knowledgeable about the menu and food offerings. The food was prepared to perfection and beautifully presented like a piece of art on our plates. The menu is eclectic with something for most everyone’s taste. Fresh flowers garnished the tables and low lighting set the mood. There is a full drink selection and since you will be staying at the hotel, it’s just a short elevator ride back to the room. Be sure to save room for dessert. We were in food heaven enjoying the OMG, Oh My Gooey sundae.
Steve and I never ran out of things to do, but also found a great deal of pleasure in just doing nothing except relaxing. Thank you to the Chattanoogan Hotel for allowing Steve and I to Relax-Refresh -Reconnect. The Chattanoogan Hotel a true romantic getaway!!! With Valentines Day just around the corner, this would make a fantastic weekend getaway. ENJOY!
