Fort Walton Beach HGI Hotel Review:
Dreaming of white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and family fun? Look no further than Fort Walton Beach, Florida! This hidden gem on the Emerald Coast beckons with its laid-back vibes, stunning natural beauty, and endless activities. But where to stay?
I recently discovered the Hilton Garden Inn Fort Walton Beach and wanted to share my honest review – the good, the bad, and the flip-flop-ready!
Location, Location, Location:
Let’s start with the absolute best part – this hotel is beachfront!
Step out your door and sink your toes into the soft sand. The Gulf waters shine with mesmerizing emerald hues, perfect for swimming, soaking up the sun, or building sandcastle empires.
Plus, you’re within walking distance of several restaurants, bars, and even a charming pier.
Forget the Emerald Coast traffic – explore on foot and enjoy the coastal breeze!
Family Fun (and Chill for Couples Too):
The Hilton Garden Inn caters to everyone. Families will love the zero-entry pool, lazy river, and playful social director who organizes fun activities like hula hoop contests and belly flops.
Meanwhile, couples can unwind in quiet pool areas, sip cocktails at the Tiki Bar (shared with the Holiday Inn next door), or cozy up by the fire pits at sunset.
This hotel strikes the perfect balance for all types of travelers.
Accommodations & Perks at The HGI Fort Walton Beach. :
My room was clean and comfortable, with a partial pool/ocean view.
It might not be the biggest suite, but it was perfect for relaxing after a day on the beach.
And speaking of beach days, remember those annoying beach chair rentals?
The Hilton Garden Hotel has plenty of set-ups with umbrellas for rent, taking the hassle out of your beach experience.
Things to Know:
While I loved the oceanfront location, there was a bit of green seagrass in the water during my visit. It’s likely seasonal, but something to keep in mind.
Also, the rooms facing the parking lot might not be the most scenic, so check upon booking.
Verdict:
Would I return? Absolutely!
The Hilton Garden Inn delivers fantastic value for its beachfront location, comfortable accommodations, and family-friendly (yet couple-approved) atmosphere.
The Hilton Garden inn is the perfect base for exploring the Emerald Coast, soaking up the sun, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Bonus Tips:
For the best value, book your stay midweek.
Sign up for Hilton Honors points and watch your savings add up!
Grab a daily drink special at the Tiki Bar.
Bring your inflatable for the lazy river.
Venture beyond the hotel – Emerald Coast adventures await!
So, ditch the guidebooks and pack your swimsuit! The Hilton Garden Inn Fort Walton Beach is waiting to welcome you to your slice of Florida paradise.
Happy travels!
