As dog parents, we all know the heart-wrenching feeling of leaving our furry family members behind while we go on vacation. I’ll admit, that I sometimes spend an excessive amount of time worrying about my dog who is more like my child. You know that look our like children pups give us as we walk out the door, realizing that this car ride is not for them.

Well, today’s post is here to help! We’ll be highlighting some amazing pet-friendly cities in America with friendly national parks, pet friendly trails, and accommodations,  So pack up your pups and enjoy a memorable pet-friendly vacation. 1. Austin, Texas

With numerous off-leash dog parks, dog-friendly bars, friendly restaurants, and even dog-friendly swimming pools, Austin is a great place for dogs. Austin, Texas is known for its music scene, delicious food, and beautiful outdoor spaces. It’s also a great place to bring your furry friend, as the city is incredibly dog-friendly. Here are some of the top dog-friendly places in Austin:

Discover Austin’s dog-friendly attractions, beginning with the 13-acre Red Bud Isle dog park along the Colorado River. Enjoy hiking trails, swimming, and open spaces for play. American cities and towns cater to tourists traveling with pets.  It may require a little extra research, but as a dog owner myself, I know it’s possible. 

Travel Tip: For social dogs, check ahead for doggie daycare options. 

Travel Tip: Many hotel chains also cater for pet-friendly travel.  Most popular include, Kimptom and Hampton Inns. 

Though my hometown of Chattanooga, TN didn’t make this list, it’s a personal recommendation of mine.
