Estes Park is located at the eastern entrance of the Rocky Mountains.  Elevation in Estes Park, Colorado is 7,500 ft,  Tourists should not be overly concerned about altitude sickness but may wish to take precautions to be safe.  If you compare the elevation to Denver, where you are at a 5,200-foot elevation for perspective.  Estes Park is at a higher altitude than nearby Denver, Colorado.
