Dunwoody, GA Location and Accessibility: Close to Downtown Atlanta

Dunwoody, Georgia, Dekalb County is only 17 miles away from downtown Atlanta. We found the trip easy and enjoyed exploring both Atlanta and Dunwoody on the same weekend vacation. 

Transportation options include driving or using services like Uber, and the Marta station is nearby for trips to downtown or the airport. We used the Marta to get to and from Downtown ATL.  Steve and I have also visited Dunwoody by car since it is only a 2 hour drive from Chattanooga, TN. 

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is just 22 miles away, ensuring convenient travel access.

Visit the Dunwoody Farmers Market, where you can find fresh produce and handmade goodies. My top things to do on the weekend. Enjoy live music and indulge in delicious treats for lunch. The market is a hidden gem that will make you forget you’re in a city. Adjacent to the market is Brook Run Park, a fantastic place for kids with its expansive playground.

Local produce, Hand-made items, and delectable food. Dunwoody Farmers Market is a great place for lunch. Then head over to Brook Run Park to burn off some of those calories.
