When deciding where to eat in Bristol, I highly recommend The Blackbird Bakery and coffee shop. The Blackbird has two locations. The first location is downtown, next to the Country Music Museum at 188 Piedmont Avenue, Bristol, Virginia 24101. The second is a drive-through-only shop found at 970 Commonwealth Avenue, Bristol, VA. Hours of Operation Monday – Saturday 7 am to 10 pm – Closed Sundays. This delectable destination needed its very own number on my list. It’s that Good!

Steve and I loved our stay at the Bristol Hotel! We found the hotel within walking distance of most downtown Bristol attractions. The hotel has a fantastic rooftop bar, great rooms, and a friendly staff.

Final Wrap-up and Travel Finds: 

Bristol/ TN VA is conveniently located right off Interstate 81 making this a perfect stop for a family or couples weekend. Steve and I consider Bristol to be among our favorite small towns in the Tri-Cities area of Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport.

I often include a weekend getaway within a larger I-81 road trip, since there are so many wonderful places to stop along the way. I can leave my house in Chattanooga, TN, and be relaxing in Bristol in a mere 4 hours.
