One reason this Chattanooga Tennessee State Park is so desirable is the beautiful views of Chickamauga Lake. Here you will find plenty of boaters navigating the calm waters of this TN State Park. Fisherman perched for an afternoon of relaxation along the Chickamauga Lake.
The marina is nicely equipped and offers a 24-hour a-day free boat ramp. There used to be a restaurant located at the marina inside Harrison Bay State Park, however, it recently closed in 2020. Steve and I are hoping someone will re-open in the future.
Popular Hiking and Walking Area Near Chattanooga, TENN:
One of the most popular hiking trails at this TN State Park is the 4-mile loop. As an over-50 couple, we are still working our way up to complete the entire 4-mile trail, but we keep trying.
Walk the shady wooded nature trails. Hikers will find plenty of nature overlooks and lake views.
Less experienced hikers and walkers will enjoy a leisurely walk on paved surfaces around the marina area.
