United Airlines Bus Shuttle – I won’t lie about being initially worried about the whole airport shuttle versus airplane idea. It’s safe to say when I first booked this option with United Airlines it was confusing.
It’s for that reason, that this travel blogger decided to detail how to use this service – what to expect – when your airplane is a bus.Â
In this blog post, I will share my experience using the United Airlines bus service instead of flying from Chattanooga, TN to Allentown, PA.
Other cities where you may be offered a bus instead of a flight include a bus from Denver to Breckenridge, CO. Travelers can also fly to Denver and connect to Fort Collins.Â
Additionally, this post will answer some of the most common questions people have about this service, such as:
My Experience Using The United Airlines Shuttle Bus:
I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use the United Airlines bus service.
In fact, I only had to go through security once. My checked baggage was transferred to the bus automatically.
Important to note, the United Shuttle bus was clean and comfortable. and the airline staff was very helpful.
Here are my experiences Using United Airlines Shuttle
My suitcase was checked at Chattanooga Airport.
I went through TSA security at the Chattanooga Airport.
I boarded the flight at the Chattanooga Airport.
Once arriving at the Newark, NJ airport I boarded the shuttle bus through a gate similar to that one would enter to board a plane. I did not need to retrieve my suitcase. It was already loaded on the bus.
After boarding the United shuttle bus through the airport terminal the ride began.
All-in-all this process was much like connecting a flight, except it was a bus
Once arriving in Allentown, passengers were let off in front of the airport and bags were handed directly to us.
Overall, I had a great experience using the United Airlines bus service. It was easy and convenient, and the bus was clean and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this service to others.
