Who Will Enjoy Jackson, Tennessee:

Jackson, TN is suggested for travelers who enjoy small-town charms, Civil War history, and easy travel.

Downtown Jackson is a nice place to visit and dine.  The Casey Jones home is a popular attraction, along with an interesting car museum.

I recommend making Jackson, TN a road trip afternoon stop. Memphis is 80 miles down the road.

1. Visit Casey Jones Village

One of the most popular attractions in Jackson, Tennessee, is Casey Jones Village. The village center is named after the famous railroad engineer who died while trying to save his passengers.

In the village, you can tour the historic train museum. Tourists visit Jackson to ride on a replica of Casey Jones’ locomotive.

Once you have finished, enjoy delicious Southern food at the restaurant.

There’s also an old-fashioned ice cream parlor, country store, and mini-golf course on-site.

2. Explore Cypress Grove, Nature Park

For nature lovers, Cypress Grove Nature Park is a must-visit. Cypress Grove Nature Park has a boardwalk through a cypress swamp, walking trails, and a butterfly garden.
